Soothing sounds of the waves crashing along the shoreline can be heard day and night. This spacious 1-bedroom 1-bath house is an affordable accommodation for an individual or couple wanting to be close to the ocean. This house is not oceanfront, but located on the ocean side of the street with limited views. Spacious, fully-equipped, modern, and spotlessly clean. Guests are welcome to walk along the coastline in either direction. The Orchid house is located just south of Hilo in a quiet, residential, neighborhood, about 25-30 minute drive from the Hilo airport. Visit the Volcanoes National Park, home to the active volcano about 30 minutes from the house. Close to Big Island Hawaii guest activities and the warm pond swimming area (about 15 minutes by car). About 25 minutes drive to Hilo swimming, snorkeling, and surfing beaches.

The living area is spacious, open, light, and comfortable with enhanced TV/VCR/DVD, stereo with CD Player, telephone, answering machine, and video library. A full sized futon bed is in living area for additional sleeping capacity. The fully-equipped kitchen comes complete with all modern amenities. Ceramic top range and oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, toaster oven, grille, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, rice cooker, vegetable steamer, and all stainless cookware. The breakfast table can seat 2 and the dining table (shown in living area picture above) seats 4. there is a front loading washer and dryer (not pictured) located inside the house. The large bedroom with queen bed, and sliding glass doors opens to an ocean pathway.
